Our ambitious goal is to develop and implement a comprehensive and highly effective supply chain monitoring tool by summer 2025. This tool will enable us to monitor our supply chains in a systematic and efficient way to identify and proactively manage potential risks.
Our endeavour goes beyond mere risk identification. We strive to strengthen the integrity of our supply chains by engaging directly with our suppliers.
The newly formulated energy target stipulates that we will implement energy-saving measures amounting to 5% of the energy baseline set in 2023 in the period from 2024 to 2026. This means that we will make targeted efforts over the next three years to reduce our energy consumption and implement more efficient processes.
One of the main measures is heat recovery from chillers, steam boilers and wastewater treatment plants, which will result in one of the heating systems being switched off in future.
It is important to note that we have already made considerable progress in recent years. In the period from 2020 to 2023, we have already successfully implemented measures that have led to an overall increase in our energy efficiency of 10%. These successes serve as a solid foundation and motivate us to further strengthen our commitment to a sustainable energy future.
Our long-term goal by 2030 is to increase the number of apprenticeships we offer to 40. This increase of 6 places compared to the reference year 2023 aims to open up new prospects for talented young people.
To make this possible, we are expanding our training place capacity by introducing new training occupations, including mechatronics technician and industrial mechanic. Through these strategic measures, we are not only aiming to increase the number of training places, but also to improve the quality of our training programme. We are endeavouring to attract the best talent and retain them at our company in the long term in order to build a sustainable base of skilled workers.
